21: Blood Dawn

It's been a while since I did a real post, so I'll take this opportunity to sum-up some things I've been doing and where things are headed.

I am now the Prince of Santa Cruz, which just sounds pretty cool! I've already got a demo set for the 18th at Game A Lot, which should go pretty well. I'll have the help of Ian and Ky, plus maybe a cousin or two. I also have a tournament set in Berkeley for the 25th, so things are moving right along. Ian, Ira, Jeff Kuta and others will all hopefully make it, so it should be pretty competitive.

Thoughts on the tournament: Dean is being very cooperative so far and I look forward to working with him. If Kuta is there, I can expect to see Ashur Tablets. Weenies, stealth and bleed should all make a good showing, so I may have to meta for that. Ira might trot out a big fattie like Seterpenre, but I think he likes to confound expectations. Ian will most likely be sporting AUS, maybe also fortitude.

Possible strategies:
-Gehenna deck featuring Thirst to strangle the weenies
-Gangrel ala "Slippery When Wet"
-AUS wall
-More rush with dominate
-AUS nec trochomancy silliness (that one's for Ashur decks, Jeff ;P)
-Fatties with votes and CEL FOR PRE multi-act
-Animalism stuff

I have yet to commit to anything and probably won't until right before the tournament. I feel like I should prepare more for cel/guns, either to play against it or as it.

Our South Bay group needs to get together more often and I think that we probably will within the next month or so. Any way you stack it, the next few weeks should be fun.
