  1. Pepper spray is more a Davis area thing, I hear getting clubbed is the cool thing to do in Berkeley.

Also, if it helps you're all welcome to crash at my house.

  2. My name is Ian Thompson, but I'm willing to forgive you this time. We're doing some wrangling with the Berkeley folk, and may be able to get a few more down there for Saturday.

  3. Oops, my apologies. Anything you can do to bring out more Berkeley folk would be appreciated.

  5. Hi Brandon, just wanted to let you know that I'll be coming for both Saturday tournaments (but sadly can't stay for Sunday), and I'll be dragging a bunch of Berkeley folk along with me - Ian Thompson, Alex Orzulak, and Eric Schultheis. Since this is my first tournament, is there anything I need to bring/do before hand? Sign up with VEKN? Thanks! Looking forward to it!

  6. Hi Brett,
If you can email me the following information at brandonsantacruz@yahoo.com I'll create an account for you. Once you are registered, you can log into the vekn.net website (the international forum for VTES).

    1) Player's full name:
    2) City:
    3) State/province (optional):
    4) Country:
    5) E-mail address (optional):

Detailed tournament info can be read here:
    http://www.vekn.net/index.php/tournament-rules

From what I understand, you guys already play by the tournament rules. The main things to remember are the deck size restrictions (60-90 library, 12+ crypt), the time limit (2 hours per round) and the banned cards list:
    Dramatic Upheaval (V:TES)
    Edge Explosion (NoR)
    Kindred Restructure (V:TES)
Madness of the Bard (Dark Sovereigns)
    Memories of Mortality (Ancient Hearts)
    Protect Thine Own (Ancient Hearts)
The Return to Innocence (Ancient Hearts)
    Succubus Club (V:TES)
Any cards that are usable only when playing for ante, including:
    Cunctator Motion (V:TES)
    High Stakes (V:TES)
    Playing for Keeps (Dark Sovereigns)

By the way, have you talked to Nick Coelius? I know he was interested in coming and I think that he plays with you guys, right?

  8. Jeff Kuta told me he was going, and Rick Phillips from the Berkeley playgroup should be going as well. This was as of this past Wednesday.
